About Lava Clay

Lava Clay is an independent ceramics brand creating handmade ceramic pieces, including functional pottery and decorative art objects.

Each piece is made with care, and the natural qualities of handmade ceramics are an important part of our work.

Products and handmade variations

Our ceramics are handmade, meaning each piece is unique. Variations in shape, size, colour, glaze, texture and finish may occur as part of the making and firing process.

We make every effort to represent our products accurately through photographs and descriptions. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and device.

These natural variations are not necessarily faults, provided the product is consistent with its description and reasonable expectations.

Product availability

Many Lava Clay pieces are produced in small quantities or as one-off artworks. Products are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee that an item will be restocked once sold.

We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in product descriptions or pricing. If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you to discuss an appropriate resolution.

Pricing and payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be completed at checkout using the payment methods available on our website. Your order will be processed once payment has been confirmed.

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed during checkout.

Orders and cancellations

Please check your order carefully before completing your purchase.

If you need to amend or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. As many of our pieces are one-off items and orders may be packed promptly, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations will be possible.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Shipping and delivery

Orders are shipped to the delivery address provided at checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring their address and contact details are correct.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, public holidays or circumstances outside our control.

Returns and refunds

We want you to love your Lava Clay piece. Please refer to our Refund Policy for details on change-of-mind returns, damaged items and faulty products.

Nothing in our policies excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual property

All content on the Lava Clay website, including photographs, product designs, text, graphics and branding, belongs to Lava Clay or is used with permission.

You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially use this content without prior written permission.

Website use

You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful purposes.

We may update website content, products and these terms from time to time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lava Clay is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays or website interruptions.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
